This sketch imagines a wooden and plaster construction which inhabits the space between wall and floor. I like objects which have an enclosed feel and a mysterious purpose, objects which make the viewer ponder their potential use. Sculpture, by the way it claims space by its physicality, is an exciting medium to work with and view. Making sculpture is necessarily a very 'hands on' process shaping the materials towards a resolution of mind, eye and touch. I don't have access to a workshop at present so I have to sublimate my desire to make sculpture with drawings.
