With no paper how can I write
words swing along this wire
barbed and electrified,
untouchable and unbound
by pen or other tongues
this prison mind game
as words come and go
not seen or spoken
forming inside, obeying
their own syntax
sure of themselves
my guards withhold paper
listen with contempt
to thoughts not captive
despite their punishment
but my words cannot live
without paper
how can I write
