This is a trail print of an image that I have been working on for some time of and on. I'm interested in the idea of the central form being blank paper in the middle of the 'field' created by the other marks on the plate. Technically there are several ways to achieve this. In this plate I used stop out to draw the form after etching the aquatint and drawing the lines with drypoint. I need to have access to proper etching materials to really get near a successful resolution of the image.
I had put it away feeling disappointed but looking at it again I decided to add it to the website. Hopefully at some time in the future it will be joined by a more resolved image.
